Capturing the images was the easy part.
SelectB started during a 2023 Sundarbans boat safari. Five days tracking Royal Bengal Tigers from morning to evening produced nearly 8,000 photographs from one camera and around 40,000 images across a group of five photographers.
The slow part began after the trip: finding the sharpest frames, comparing burst sequences, checking focus, removing duplicates and deciding what deserved to move forward.
It is not designed to replace photographic judgment. It is designed to make the first pass faster, clearer and easier to review.
Why wildlife needed a different workflow.
Wildlife photography is full of similar frames, hidden subjects, clipped wings, small birds, grass, branches and sudden action. Generic image sorting is not enough.
